AMP IT UP! with This New Bardic College!
It's time for some Lucio-o-oh's as we continue our Overwatch series. I decided to try to make something that captures Lucio's concept more than accurately recreates him completely. Bard sub-classes are generally the hardest to create as they only consist of three levels. I may do a bard analysis soon to cover that topic, but party it up with this new Bard College:
College of Sound
A bard of the college of sound does not focus on the sound of music, but the quality of sound, the properties, and effect of certain sounds on others. When a college of sound bard uses what they have learned, they can instill increased vitality, speed, and skill in their allies.
Bonus Proficiencies When you choose this Bard College at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Performance skill. If you are already proficient in Performance, double your proficiency bonus for any Performance skill check you make.
Allargando
Beginning at 3rd level, you can use your Bardic Inspiration to bolster the health of your allies. As a bonus action, you may expend and roll a Bardic Inspiration die. For the next minute, each you and each friendly creature that starts its turn within 30 feet of you gains temporary hit points equal to the number rolled on your Bardic Inspiration die.
Accelerando Beginning at 3rd level, you can use your Bardic Inspiration to spur your allies into action. As a bonus action, you may expend and roll a Bardic Inspiration die. For the next minute, you and each friendly creature within 30 feet of you, gains the number rolled as a bonus to initiative, and doubles their movement speed. If initiative has already been decided, each creature in range moves their initiative forward by the number rolled. If a creature is no longer within range of this effect, its initiative returns to its original number at the end of the round.
Crescendo
Beginning at 6th level, your performances grow louder, and harder to drown out. Whenever a creature benefits from your Baridic Inspiration, or your Allargando or Accelerando features, your Charisma modifier is added to the number rolled.
Amplitude
Starting at 14th level, whenever you cast a spell of 1st level or higher you may deal thunder damage equal to your Charisma modifier + the level of the spell slot you expended to each creature within 5 feet of you.
